Winstree Road Cycle Lane Petition

What's the issue?

The new cycle way at Winstree Road has been made as a 'shared space' with cyclists sharing the same pathway as pedestrians. This has resulted in a lot of complaints locally that danger is being posed to pedestrians, especially given its location near to three schools, a doctor's surgery, a children's centre and sheltered accommodation for the elderly.

What are the Lib Dems calling for?

The cycleway needs to have clear demarkations so that pedestrians and cycles are separated, keeping the pedestrians safely out of the way of cyclists.
